Justin Timberlake Addresses Law-breaking Voting Booth Selfie on 'Fallon'

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 27, 2016

Netflix special and Trolls star Justin Timberlake recently tried to toughen up his public image by breaking the law and taking a selfie in a Tennessee voting booth.

Under recent legislation, the move could have cost the singer a $50 fine or even put him behind bars for 30 days, though it now seems charges won't actually be pressed. Nevertheless, in an effort to restore his previously pristine reputation, Timberlake addressed the controversy on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (October 26).

After informing Fallon that he recently returned to his home state of Tennessee and voted "super quiet, under the radar," the camera zoomed into Timberlake's face so he could offer up a PSA. "Get out and vote," he said. "But don't take a picture of yourself."

They also flaunted their friendship with a game of "Best Friends Box," a pizza party and a new sketch that puts the pair back at summer camp singing Alanis Morissette's "Ironic."
