Late last night, pop star/actor Justin Timberlake posted the cryptic tweet, "Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST...," which led some to suspect the Justified singer was gearing up for an album announcement. A video was posted at said time earlier today (January 10), but the artist isn't quite ready to reveal exactly what's up his sleeve just yet.
Called "I'm Ready," the video, which you can see below, has Timberlake wandering down the halls of a recording studio as an inner monologue discusses his solo career. He notes that he's only delivered two albums over the last 10 years, reveals how he stresses over the details of what's next for him, and says, "I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don't love; you don't just get that every day. You have to wait for it."
With that, we see JT take off his fedora, toss on some headphones while setting up in front of a microphone, and then he says, "I'm ready."
If we're lucky, this could mean JT will soon be issuing a follow-up to his 2006 set FutureSex/LoveSound. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it's indeed a full album, which was produced by Timbaland and features at least one track with Jay-Z.
Either way, it looks as if we'll be getting some big news in a few days. On the singer's website, there is a countdown clock, which expires January 13 at 12 a.m. EST.
