While, no doubt, certain sects of Justin Timberlake many followers are getting pumped for his upcoming turn in a Troll movie, the beloved pop star will be giving all of his fans a new tune by the end of the week.
Timberlake began teasing new material on his Twitter account today (May 4), promising that it'd be "2 more days" before the music lands. When grilled about the song title by a fan, JT graciously conceded and coughed up the info. The new tune is apparently called "Can't Stop This Feeling."
No word yet on whether the single drop precedes an impending album announcement. Regardless, the arrival of "Can't Stop This Feeling" marks the first new material from Justin Timberlake since his two-part 20/20 Experience from 2013.
It had been hinted at last year that some of Timberlake's new music could be a little bit country, according to an interview with regular studio collaborator Timbaland. The producer had noted at the time: "He's from Tennessee, I'm from Virginia. It's only right that we try to tap into what we was raised in."
As for Trolls, it had previously been revealed that Timberlake was attached to the Dreamworks property as a voice for one of the film's main characters. The pop star is also the movie's executive music producer, and he's expected to deliver original music for its soundtrack. The film is scheduled for a November 2016 release.
