Ottawa's Kalle Mattson is teasing an upcoming album with a new 7-inch, and now we've got a video for that single's B-side, "Darkness."
The song is a tuneful folk number that swells from nocturnal acoustic balladry to horn-assisted folk rock. The video is faithful to the shadowy implications of the song's title, as we see black and white images of a fun fair, some shaky shots of Mattson and his band, and a number of slightly spooky seemingly disconnected images including a scary-looking mask.
This song will appear on a 7-inch with the track "An American Dream." It will be out on October 1 via Parliament of Trees, with a full-length to follow in 2014. See Mattson's tour schedule here.
