Kanye West Fans Launch Crowdfunding Campaigns to Make Him a Billionaire Again

The former billionaire artist formerly known as Kanye West still has his adoring public and partners in antisemitism. Much like when he lost his queen, too, Ye's well-being (and money bags) are the utmost priority at a time when he is spewing all kinds of hate speech verbally and buying a right-wing app Parler to continue spewing via text.

Since being dropped by former partners CAA, Adidas and Balenciaga  — on the "happiest day of his life" — and reportedly showing up unsolicited at a headquarters for Jewish-owned sneaker company Sketchers, the disgraced rapper has officially lost his billionaire status and was replaced by Sean "Diddy" Combs on the 2022 Forbes list of wealthiest hip-hop artists.

West is now only worth an estimated $400 million USD, and that simply doesn't sit right with his avid supporters. After all, why shouldn't he have even more resources to make potentially devastating financial decisions harming numerous communities?

Naturally, stans have taken matters into their own hands by heading over to GoFundMe to raise money to reclaim West's billionaire caste. Multiple campaigns have been spotted raising up to $5, including one conspicuously titled "Make Kanye West a Billionaire Again," though the crowdfunding platform has been diligent in removing them [as per AllHipHop].

As Rolling Stone points out, this actually isn't the first time Yeezy supporters have rallied around their indisputable king; back in 2016, after West tweeted that he was $53 million in debt and proceeded to ask Mark Zuckerberg for a $1 billion investment into his "ideas," someone named Jeremy Piatt launched a GoFundMe to "Get Kanye Out of Debt."

"It doesn't look like he's going to get Mark Zuckerberg's help that he desperately needs," Piatt wrote in the fundraiser description. "Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can't be realized." Wildly, the page is still public and managed to raise $57,398 of its $53,000,000 USD goal — however, Piatt reported that West's team had declined the funds raised, and instead promised to donate the money to youth music education non-profit Notes for Notes.

Wow, getting to end one of these on a somewhat uplifting note is definitely the real shocker here.
