Kanye West album releases are messy, to say the least. So it was no big surprise that the previously announced DONDA release date already came and went without us getting the actual album. Well, now the record apparently has a new release date.
DONDA is now due out on August 6, according to multiple media reports by such publications as Pitchfork and The Fader.
As previously reported, the album was premiered during a livestreamed listening event at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium last week, with DONDA then set to arrive the next day on Friday (July 23). Of course, the wide release of the record never happened, but maybe we'll now be more lucky on August 6.
DONDA finds Kanye teaming back up with his old pal JAY-Z, as well as Travis Scott, Pusha T, Lil Baby, Lil Durk and Pop Smoke. Apparently, the album also features Kanye's late mother Donda West.
That's the supposed DONDA album art above, though we wouldn't be surprised if that changed too.
DONDA marks the official follow-up to 2019's Jesus Is King.
