After announcing the intention to change its name following some high-profile Twitter beefing late last month, Chicago-based charity Donda's House has revealed the title it will use going forward.

The non-profit — co-founded by Kanye WestRhymefest and Donnie Smith to support young creatives in the  — will now be known as Art of Culture, Inc. The charity was initially named after West's late mother, Dr. Donda West.

"We will always respect the memory and example set by Dr. Donda West," Smith said in a press release. "We revere her work and were fortunate to have been taught by her. As we continue our work, we hope that this name change will represent an evolution of the organization and will result in more service and greater impact."

On May 25, the charity published a statement looking to distance itself from West in the wake of the artist's recent inflammatory political actions and statements.

In today's press release, Art of Culture writes, "due to Mr. West's controversial public political statements, the organization received communications of concern from sponsors, foundations and supporters" over the past few months.

The charity then signalled an imminent name change on May 26, following an online war of words between creative director Rhymefest and Kim Kardashian West.

Of the change, the charity said in a statement, "This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the social media quotes from Kim Kardashian West, as well as the expressed interest of her family running the organization, has brought us to this decision."
