Last year, Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O went solo with the archival demos collection Crush Songs. Now, she's released another album under her own name: Live from Crush Palace.
As with Crush Songs, this album consists of short, stripped-down ballads with minimal instrumentation and Karen O crooning in full balladeer mode. But while Crush Songs was made up of private, lo-fi home recordings, this one features some quiet backing instrumentation, nice-sounding audio quality and, of course, clapping from the crowd.
All 15 songs from Crush Songs appear here, as does "Hideaway" from the singer's Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack and "The Moon Song" from Her.
It's out exclusively on Spotify. Stream it below.
In related news, Karen O just released a pink 7-inch for her Crush Songs track "Rapt" via Cult Records.
