This woman's work is getting a reissue. Literally. Kate Bush has announced that she'll re-release her entire discography — including "This Woman's Work" — on December 1.
With her induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame looming and the Stranger Things-fuelled Bushissance having reintroduced her to mainstream popularity decades after her initial success, the sprawling reissue couldn't have come at a better time for Bush.
"It's very exciting to see the resurgence of appreciation for the physical presence of albums released on vinyl. It's how it's always been for me, especially when I was a teenager," Bush said in a statement. "The whole buzz of the record store was part of the experience. Buying an album was an event. There's a special emotional connection that happens between the possessor of an album, the music and the artwork, when it exists in the real world."
Bush tapped Glasgow-based design studio Timorous Beasties to rework the Hounds of Love cover for the Baskerville Edition, which includes a solar-powered flashing LED.
Previews of the new editions and complete purchasing information are available at Bush's official website. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the humanitarian aid organization War Child.
