In some news that will excite the Britpop fan deep inside all of us, UK sensation Kate Nash has revealed that she is working on a collaboration with former tour partners and ex-Moshi Moshi label mates Metronomy.

The London electro pop outfit recently joined Nash on some tracks, and according to the Daily Star [via NME], the bunch of pop-loving music makers are set to release the music soon. "We did some tracks a while ago together and we might finally release them this summer," Nash told the UK newspaper.

However, the quality of the tracks will be judged on their own merit, as the familiarity of both parties involved will be detached. "It won't be under my name or Metronomy," she said. "It's going to be an underground side project."

Besides the unnamed project, Nash is currently at work on her follow-up to 2007's Made of Bricks.
