Kaytranada Gives Us His Very Own '99.9%' Videogame

If you're looking to kill some time before Montreal beatmaker Kaytranada delivers his much-anticipated 99.9%, you may want to check out the producer's new album-themed videogame.

Given the apropos title of 99.9%: The Game, the online side-scroller is modelled after mind-numbing, though highly addictive, games like Flappy Bird. For his signature product, you guide a plane through a seemingly unending series of obstacles including upside down pillars, bloody daggers, palm trees and more. You die if you collide into any of these structures or fall into the choppy waters below. You can also rack up points by collecting airborne coins, crowns and pot leaves.

In addition to just enjoying the hell out of the gameplay, anyone who hits a high score will be gifted a free download of "Nobody Beats the Kay," a bonus track from 99%.

You can try out 99.9%: The Game over here on Kaytranada's website.

As previously reported, Kaytranada releases the album on May 6 via XL Recordings. He recently previewed the album with a video for the Anderson .Paak-assisted "Glowed Up."

A European leg of dates take place in May, though Kaytranada's North American tour behind 99% begins later that month. You'll find details on the show schedule over here.
