Kid Cudi Turns 'Satellite Flight' EP into Full-Length, Teases February Release

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 27, 2014

Kid Cudi has had some second thoughts on the upcoming release of his Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon EP, but don't worry, it's all good. The rapper reports that the once bite-sized offering is being fleshed out as a full-length release, and it will apparently hit our ears next month.

While a fall concert had Cudder announcing that Satellite Flight was to be a freelease EP intended to keep fans happy before the release of Man on the Moon 3, he took to Twitter earlier today (January 27) to let us know about the upgrade.

"Satellite Flight is an album now :) thats what u get for being so patient w me. Ur gonna love it. Ur gonna love it. Ur gonna fucking LOVE!" Cudi wrote excitedly of the LP, adding, "I have an excitement deep in the bellows of my loins haha."

Though an exact due date has yet to be delivered, he further promised that Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon will land sometime in February.

Few other details have been uncovered thus far, but Cudi had previously explained that he had been working on the set with producer Dot Da Genius and that rapper King Chip is "definitely on there." He had also said that Satellite Flight will act as a "seamless connection" between 2013's Indicud and Man on the Moon 3.

While we wait for more info on the set, you can check out the rocket-powered, symphony strings-assisted title track. You can imagine yourself taking a ride in Cudder's space whip by giving the intergalactic rap track a spin in the player down below.
