You'd think after recently losing their gear, van and the man who drove it, the Kills might be a bit hesitant about returning to North America. Well, apparently not. The UK duo have just announced a whole pile of new live dates on this side of the Atlantic, with the band's upcoming tour taking them throughout the U.S. and Canada.
This latest round of tour stop continues in support of the Kills' latest full-length, 2008's Midnight Boom, as well as a few newer, smaller rock'n'roll offerings. On April 14, the twosome will release the new EP, Black Balloon, through Domino and include the previously released Midnight Boom track, along with some new, yet-to-be-announced acoustic numbers. The group also recently put out their iTunes Live Sessions EP, a digital-only affair that features live versions of the songs "Sour Cherry" and "Getting Down," some more acoustic renditions of "Pull a U" and "Kissy Kissy," and a cover version of Willie Nelson's "Crazy."
Here are the Kills' upcoming tour dates, which also include brief stints in Germany, New Zealand and Australia, and hopefully this time won't lead to a federal investigation:
