Killwhitneydead

Stocking Stuffher

BY Chris AyersPublished Jan 26, 2009

Twisted holiday greetings arrive from North Carolina's sample-crazy thrashers Killwhitneydead in a four-song, two-video limited-edition EP. Front-man Matt Rudzinski doesn't sing/growl on any of the tracks, nor is there any new music; instead, he focuses on spreading every possible film moment about Christmas atop Pantera-gone-hardcore riffage. "Jingle Hell" patches together recognizable lines from Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Elf and A Christmas Story, while the quotes in "You Smell Naughty" are primarily culled from the more offensive scenes from the South Park catalogue. "Let Me Give You a Hand Stuffing Your Stocking" is actually "Let Me Give You a Hand Throwing Yourself Out" from 2007's Hell to Pay but now features choice quotes from Fred Claus and every possible movie where an actor even mentions the holidays. The zombie attack in the "Just When You Thought I Was Listening" video complements the duelling boyfriends in the "Let Me Give You a Hand Throwing Yourself Out" video. Extras include more Jpeg art and a 15-track label sampler. The made for fans Stocking Stuffher will hold over the masses until Killwhitneydead begin work on their next album later this year.
