If you're already missing Halloween, Vancouver troubadour Kim Gray is bringing it back to the forefront thanks to his new video for "Tropical Low Life" from his Perfume album.
"Tropical Low Life" is the perfect song for your Halloween comedown, along with its playfully surreal visuals captured by Lucien Cyr. While Cyr previously produced some haunting imagery for the "Perfume Ghost" video, the mood for this one is less lysergic Reservoir Dogs and more like an early morning infomercial that is so messed up you can't tell exactly what it is they're trying to sell, but damned if you don't want to buy it.
We're talking a possessed priest, Mexican wrestler, the baddy from Scream, and Gray wrapped in an American flag set over and among a collage of stock footage, vintage commercials and animation, and nearly incomprehensible subtitles: all available for the low, low price of giving YouTube a click or two.
Keep the spirit alive by watching the "Tropical Low Life" below.
Perfume is out now via Lollipop Records.
