Kiss Me Deadly

Misty Medley

BY Jasamine White-GluzPublished Nov 1, 2005

Montreal Mania may be in full swing, but Kiss Me Deadly are a band who transcend temporary hype. Misty Medley is a dazzling page in the post-punk diary, highlighted by Emily Elizabeth’s wispy, sexual screams. The guitar work of Adam Poulin is nothing short of a shoegazer’s wet dream, while Mathieu du Montier’s bass parts are simply irresistible. The quintessential listen on Misty Medley is the opener "Dance 4,” a catchy pop song that will be stuck in your head for days. Orchestral without being over the top, emotional without being cheesy, Kiss Me Deadly can make you dance and cry at the same time — and feel great about it.
