BY Kaitlin IrvingPublished Nov 20, 2020

Coming fall 2021, THEMUSEUM will premiere an exhibition that offers a rare, immersive glimpse into the lives of the Rolling Stones and their near-60-year journey — The Rolling Stones | UNZIPPED, presented by DHL, opens on November 2, 2021 and runs through to January 30, 2022.

UPDATE (1/4, 3:30 p.m. ET): The lockdowns associated with COVID-19 have impacted the tour of UNZIPPED. Due to this, the opening of UNZIPPED at THEMUSEUM has been postponed from November 2, 2021 until November 30, 2021 and will run until February 27, 2022.

With 10,000 square feet of one-of-a-kind artifacts, visitors will get a never-before-seen look at the Rolling Stones. UNZIPPED will boast more than 300 original objects from the Stones' personal collection; along with instruments and stage designs, the exhibition includes rare audio fragments, video footage, personal diaries, iconic costumes, posters and album covers. The exhibit will also include original works from an array of artists, including Andy Warhol, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Dior and Martin Scorsese.

"This exhibition is world-class and will bring tens of thousands of people to our community, putting the Waterloo Region on a much larger cultural map," said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM. "This community is so deserving of an immersive experience of this caliber and we're looking forward to partnering and collaborating with local businesses to bring it to life — making our Region a cultural destination for many."

The first block of tickets for the UNZIPPED event is already on sale. For further information on the event and to purchase your tickets, check out THEMUSEUM website.
