UK dubstep pioneer Kode9 (real name Steve Goodman) has been busy as the head of his Hyperdub imprint for the past few years, but he has now revealed plans for another collaborative effort with his long-running partner-in-musical-crime the Spaceape.
Teaming up for the first time since 2011's Black Sun, the duo will return with an EP titled Killing Season on October 27 via Hyperdub.
Speaking to The Fader, MC Spaceape revealed that he took a lyrics-first approach to this record and made a conscious effort to strip down certain tracks to allow the vocals to breathe. He goes on to describe the new material as "a progression in our working relationship," but assures listeners that it still harkens back to the "ideas and power" of the duo's previous collaborations.
Kode9 and the Spaceape have also unveiled a colourful new clip for album cut "The Devil Is a Liar," which you can watch below.
