Komodo

Komodo is a Montreal-based musician, DJ and promoter of Komodo Dubs, one of Canada's foremost bass nights. Komodo began his set playing with Tibetan-style cymbals and throat singing and some didgeridoo, which he records as he plays, then loops and incorporates into the mix. Later he brought out a Turkish flute and some tracks on CD that he layered over the top of the heavy beats and fast dub bass. Komodo's technical proficiency on the various exotic instruments was impressive and he incorporated them seamlessly into the mix. It all made for an entertaining performance that left you thinking this man is very talented but maybe has spent a bit too much time in Goa.
