Korn string-slapper Fieldy may have been briefly replaced by a 12-year-old earlier this year, but his dedication to the low end is unstoppable. Don't believe us? He's just announced a new solo album, and it's packed to the brim with bass puns.
For starters, the album is called Bassically and features plenty of bass-related imagery on its official cover, available above.
Still, to truly understand his love of slappin' da bass, you must dig into the release's 17 song titles. This is a release that features the titles "Bass O Rama," "Bass Invaders," "Dance Your Bass Off," "Mr. Bassmen," "Bass Age" and, in what might possibly be the best named song of 2017, "I Wuv Bass Mon."
Further, Fieldy loves to make reference to his preference for five-stringed bass guitars. There are songs called "5 String Graffiti," "Give Me 5," "15 String Exodus" (which we assume features three basses) and "Basque K Cinco."
"This is a bass album that encompasses the last nine years of my life on the road recording with a variety of special and unique basses," Fieldy said in a statement. "This project features recordings of mine from dressing rooms, tour buses, hotel rooms and other unique locations playing on basses just as obscure as the locations. It's a blend of funk, fusion, and rock — I can't wait to share it with you."
Bassically will arrive on November 17. It also features guest spots from Korn's Brian "Head" Welch (on "I Wuv Bass Mon") and Jonathan Davis (who beatboxes on "JD Fresh").
