Working as L CON, Toronto performer Lisa Conway has kept plenty busy. Following The Ballad Project and The Ballads Reimagined. Up next, she's started an experimental video project.
A press release explains that the project was "birthed out of creative procrastination," adding that "the videos investigate movement, drones, clicks and hums, as well as digital interventions and manipulations."
"The Sound Electric, Saws," the first in the series, offers droning synths and ethereal sounds, not to mention plenty of cascading, colourful visuals. It's abstract, to be sure, but you'll find plenty to latch onto.
Watch the video for "The Sound Electric, Saws" below. L CON also has a handful of tour dates in the works, all of which are available below.
Tour dates:
11/6 Peterborough, ON - The Red Garnet
11/7 Montreal, QC - Le Cagibi
11/8 Ottawa, ON - Raw Sugar
11/22 Toronto, ON - Jam Factory
11/27 London, ON - TBA
