Lacuna Coil

Visual Karma [Body, Mind and Soul]

BY Laura Wiebe TaylorPublished Jan 25, 2009

Featuring two 2007 concerts, four music videos and an entire disc of background and behind-the-scenes material, Visual Karma should be a treat for any Lacuna Coil fan. And it probably is for any fan introduced to the band after 2002. The video clips are all new, featuring tracks from 2006's Karmacode, and even the few slightly older tracks that made it into the Wacken and Loudpark set lists have been transformed by the band's current pop/goth/metal approach. The Lacuna Coil that emerge from this collection of material is hardly recognizable as the Italian metallers of even five or six years ago. If that doesn't dampen your interest, Visual Karma might be a worthwhile investment, with over three-and-a-half hours of decent performance footage and more intimate introductions painting a clear picture of what Lacuna Coil have come to be.
