Following the not guilty verdict in Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe's manslaughter case in Prague earlier this year, the metal singer is prepping a memoir to encapsulate the trying time.
The book is currently untitled but expected to be released in the spring of 2014 via Da Capo Press. Blythe's tome will apparently tackle the year-long period that found him arrested on manslaughter charges over the 2010 death of concertgoer Daniel Nosek, who had hit his head after stage diving at a Lamb of God show and died in a hospital three weeks later over those injuries.
As previously reported, Blythe was arrested in Prague in June 2012 and temporarily held in a Czech prison before being sent back to North America. He returned to the Czech Republic to face a judge this past March.
"While I've dreamed of being a published author almost since I began to read, I never imagined my first book would center around such a sad topic. Sometimes though, life unexpectedly provides you a story that needs to be told," Blythe said in a statement. "I believe this one does (for several different reasons, not just for the benefit of myself), so I will tell it with the respect and dignity all involved deserve. This will be a good read, I promise you, and I hope some good comes of it."
Da Capo Books also has an Al Jourgensen biography on the way and has previously released tomes from Pantera's Rex Brown, Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi and more.
