Newfoundland's foremost independent music and arts festival, Lawnya Vawnya, is due to return in 2024 with its 14th edition, running June 5 to 8 across multiple venues in Downtown St. John's.
DEBBY FRIDAY, myst milano. and Aquakultre will lead the event, with additional performances by Willie Thrasher, Linda Saddleback, Martyn "M." Bootyspoon, Blunt Chunks, Destiny, Hotmail Summer, Groceries, Indian Giver, Love Language, Stacey Sexton, Taupe, and Ura Star & Fireball Kid.
Meanwhile, Newfoundland homegrown talent includes Ash Park, Bread Clip, Carnage, Corey Clocksy, Cuerpos, DaMi, Gallery, Gravy, Groceries, HERE & NOW, Jenina MacGillivray, Meg McLaughlin, MUMMERS, Needle Crafts, NL Latin Band, Tunnel Vision and Valmy.
Elsewhere, festivalgoers will get to experience interdisciplinary offerings and performances by Augur's Wand, Megan Samms, m'lk collective, as well as a film screening in partnership with St. John's International Women's Film Festival, panel discussions, workshops, artist talks and more
Festival passes are on sale now for $105 plus fees at the Lawyna Vawnya website. Single-show tickets and the festival's schedule are still to come.
