Lawnya Vawnya is set to return to St. John's for its sixth instalment from May 4 to 8, and the lineup for the Newfoundland festival has just been unveiled.
Braids, Yonatan Gat, Jennifer Castle, Shotgun Jimmie, Partner, Julie Doiron, Fake Palms, Trailer Camp, Charlotte Day Wilson, CATL, Chess Club, and Derm Kean and an Incredible Woman top the bill.
Also slated to perform during the five-day event are Eastern Owl, Wunderstrands, Zachary Lucky, Blimp Rock, Weird Lines, Psychic Fair, Year of Glad, Heat Vision, Hudson Alexander and Eytan Tobin, Pilot to Bombardier, Greville Tapes Music Club vol. IV (featuring Whoop-Szo & Jon Mckiel), Hard Ticket, Branch Ricky, Sleepy, Lady Brett Ashley, Bridges, Allie Duff and the Happy Campers, Sinews, Dope Piece, Peter Willie YoungTree, & The Blooms, Mary Dear, Dame Nature, and Punch Table.
In addition to the jam-packed week of scheduled musical performances, the festival will also host an array of panel discussions about the music industry, an artist talk featuring Newfoundland's first punk band Da Slyme, a record and small press fair, pop-up shows, and an all-ages music crawl.
