Layten Kramer

"Nowhere to Go" (video)

Earlier this year, Canmore, AB-based singer-songwriter Layten Kramer released his debut album For the Sun. It features a collaboration with Kathryn Calder called "Nowhere to Go," and now that same song has been given the music video treatment.

The track hears Kramer waxing romantic about the notion of "holding on to a geographical identity, while being driven by the mysterious pull of love" — set to the sounds of shimmery guitars and mesmerizing synths.

The accompanying clip features onscreen appearances from Kramer, along with Jasper Smith, Blair Hansen and Aaron Reid, who move in time to the music as green screen footage of beach scenes, aquatic life and some slightly less on-theme situations scroll behind them.

It's a psychedelic trip that adds an extra colourful layer of fun to the song, and you can watch the video for "Nowhere to Go" right now in the player below.
