Leatherface

To officially mark the return of Leatherface, BYO Records has decided to reissue the band's 1993 aptly titled effort The Last, which came before initially calling it quits for six years. The Last was never released in North America. In addition to the eight tracks contained on the original version, eight more songs have been added, from Frankie Stubbs' other project Pope. Whether it's Leatherface or Pope, the music is gruff, emotional, insightful, and definitely punk rock. Imagine Hüsker Dü getting drunk and having a one-night affair with Motörhead. The Last displays a definite maturity in songwriting and performance from their notorious 1991 release, Mush, and recalls the elation felt when Leatherface reformed in 1999.
