Lemuria Announce 'The Distance Is So Big,' North American Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 12, 2013

It's been over two years since eclectic Buffalo, NY indie-pop trio Lemuria issued their sophomore set Pebble, but the band have now announced its follow-up. Titled The Distance Is So Big, the group's next full-length drops June 18 via Bridge 9.

A press release notes that the 13-song album was tracked with producer/post-hardcore hero J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines) at his Magpie Cage Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD. Teaser tracks have yet to appear, but the press materials point to the collection being Lemuria's "most mature and best effort to date." Song premieres and additional album info are expected to arrive in the coming months.

Lemuria have also outlined an upcoming North American trip in May. Along with some U.S. dates, the band will hit Canada up with performances in St. Catharines, ON, and Toronto, as well as in Montreal as part of Pouzza Fest.
