Earlier this summer, we learned that Toro y Moi mastermind Chaz Bundick would be releasing a new single under his dancefloor-oriented alias, Les Sins, via Dan Snaith's Jiaolong imprint. Now, the two songs from that single have emerged online.
"Fetch" and "Taken" are minimal tracks that place sparse synth figures atop jumbled rhythms, which are sure to inspired some twitchy, convulsive dance moves. They're almost entirely instrumental, but there are some sampled breaths and vocal snippets to add a human element.
Of the two, "Fetch" is slightly darker and more creepy, since some of the tinkling melodies wouldn't sound out of place on a horror movie soundtrack.
The single will drop later this month.
