Liam Gallagher's Clothing Brand Pretty Green Under Review

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 14, 2019

Liam Gallagher's clothing brand Pretty Green is currently reviewing its future plans, as it grapples with the economic challenges facing British shops.

A spokesperson for the company recently told Drapers that Pretty Green was "not immune to the challenges currently facing the U.K. high street," and that restructuring and insolvency firm Moorfields Advisory is helping the brand figure out its future.

A Moorfields rep said that they are "considering all options" — which could include a sale of the company.

Gallagher himself has responded to the claims, expressing discontent that "when things are going well and hunky dory it's Pretty Green and when it's not, it's Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green."

In classic Gallagher style, he added, "2 words SPUNKBUBBLES" (spelled as one word).

Pretty Green first launched in 2009. It currently has 12 standalone stores, but lost 20 retail spots when department store House of Fraser went into administration last year.
