Yesterday (October 4) marked the 10-year anniversary of Lights' second LP Siberia, and the Timmins-hailing multimedia artist née Valerie Poxleitner commemorated the occasion by recreating the album artwork (and teasing a new vinyl pressing).

In an Instagram post, Lights wrote:

My second album turns ten today. My hair can still do the thing! mostly the same girl sitting there except a few more tattoos, bit less baby fat and seen a lot more shit. The day I did the Siberia cover shoot I had a little mental breakdown, I wasn't sure what was coming over me. In the decade that would follow there would be a lot more of those but she would see the world, hard days, good days, write a thousand more songs, break hearts, get broken, grow tall. I don't feel like the same person I was in that pic—that's what ten years will do I guess. Happy bday Siberia. Oh and…. Im currently reprinting the vinyl in a new color variant re release. Stay tuned….

Now certified gold in Canada, Siberia was the heavily anticipated follow-up to Lights' debut 2009 album The Listening. It included singles "Toes" and "Everybody Breaks a Glass," featuring Shad and Holy Fuck. The sophomore record also spawned an acoustic version in 2013, with Max Kerman of Arkells lending guest vocals to the stripped-down rendition of the title track.

Needless to say, it was an era of Lights' career where she relished in building the CanCon community and expanded her palate through collaboration (as well as rocking the iconic combover). The artist's most recent album is 2017's Skin & Earth, which came complete with a comic book series.

Recently, Lights reunited with deadmau5 on "When the Summer Dies." Last year, she spoke to Exclaim! about her side gig as a tattoo artist.
