Just shy of a decade on from releasing their final album as Little Brother, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh have revealed plans to revive the group.

In an email to DJ Booth, Phonte confirmed that he and Big Pooh have been at work on new material for the group. The group's last album was 2010's Leftback.

"I'm excited to announce that my brother Big Pooh and I are back at work. New Little Brother music and a tour are coming soon," he wrote.

Phonte also revealed that producer 9th Wonder would not formally be a part of the reunion plans.

"After conversations with 9th Wonder following our Art of Cool reunion show in Durham last year, the three of us mutually agreed it was best for LB to continue as a duo, as Pooh and I have officially been Little Brother since 2007," Phonte said.

News of a Little Brother reunion comes on the heels of the pair landing a headlining slot at Raleigh's Hopscotch Music Festival, set to take place from September 5 to 7.

Phonte delivered the four-track solo EP Pacific Time in March of this year. Rapper Big Pooh released solo LP RPM last November.
