Little Simz delivered her sophomore LP Stillness in Wonderland today (December 16), and along with the music, the English MC has delivered a visual accompaniment with Stillness in Wonderland: The Film.
Directed by Jeremy Cole, the 15-minute visual follows the events of Simz's debut short film A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons: The True Story, and alludes to its namesake in that everything is not what it seems.
"I struggled with finding the inspiration for the album for a while and was frustrated with not releasing as much music as I was used to," Simz revealed in a note accompanying the album's release. "But the more I travelled, learned more about the world and myself, the beauty, distractions and trappings of the world of entertainment, the more I found parallels to the tale of Alice in Wonderland and then everything fell into place concept wise for me."
