Local Natives earned our approval with 2010's Gorilla Manor, and now the Californian indie rock outfit are ready to follow it up with another full-length. Their sophomore effort is called Hummingbird, and it will be out on January 19 through Frenchkiss/Infectious.
These 11 tracks were recorded in Montreal and Brooklyn. The latter session was with the National's Aaron Dessner, who acted as co-producer. For a taste of what the band cooked up, stream the sunny, structurally complex single "Breakers" at the bottom of the page.
Prior to the album's release, the band will play some international dates. Following the record's arrival, they will return to their home continent for more touring, with this North American trek with finishing with a Canadian date in Vancouver on April 27.
