Logic is among the privileged few artists to have more than one interview with Nardwuar the Human Serviette, and the very not retired MC has now immortalized the exceptional Canadian journalist on new album Vinyl Days.
The 30-track release, out today via Def Jam, features a song titled "Nardwuar (Audio)," in which listeners hear the warped voice of the tam-topped fact-finder say, "keep on sampling in the free world" before hitting them with his classic interview sign-off.
This isn't the first time Nardwuar has had his interview audio sampled. His voice notably appears on Lil Uzi Vert's 2019 single "Futsal Shuffle 2020," which features clips from two separate chats with the rap star, while snippets from his 2014 chat with YG were used on a pair of tracks from producer Knxwledge's 2015 album Hud Dreems.
Vinyl Days, which follows Logic's 2020 LP No Pressure, has another CanCon connection in the Kount. As the Madlib-endorsed Toronto producer shared on social media, he lent his sonic and rhythmic expertise to the drum parts of the following four tracks: "Michael Rap," "NEMS," "JJ Abrahams" and "NeedleDrop."
