Many rocknroll bands are having a hard time producing new and exciting material without straying too far from their initial purpose to of course, rock in the free world. Its an art to take what is old and already classic and make it better, and the Lonely H have managed to match and dare I say, possibly top the likes of the over-hyped past greats of classic rock (thats you Zeppelin and Rush). That statement may startle you but not as much as this one will: they are only 18 years old, ripe from their high school prom. At this point you probably think I, the reviewer, am crazy and completely off my rocker but have you heard these tunes? Have you heard the energising horn section that graces "Captain, a rocking tune with reggae and old school ska inclusions? If you still think Im rather outspoken try the soft Jeff Buckley-esque ballad "All Hope, where the consistently phenomenal lyrical work further proves that these Port Angeles, WA youths are musically talented far beyond their years. With mint production, each song contains meaning and lush creativity, bleeding with bright and neoteric modern thought without ever forgetting where they come from. The Lonely H are truly closer to a miracle than a contemporary rock band but dont just take my word for it, you deserve a listen.
