American indie-folk outfit Lord Huron have been growing in popularity for quite some time now thanks to a successful tour in support of UK upstarts Alt-J and appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella and the Newport Folk Festival. Now the critically acclaimed quintet are crossing the border for a few Canadian dates on their upcoming North American tour in support of last year's IAMSOUND release, Lonesome Dreams.
Fronted by Michigan-born songwriter Ben Schneider, the album finds the My Morning Jacket-indebted five-piece doing their best Local Natives impression, as they weave their appalachian-inspired vocals through a sonic tapestry of Silver Lake guitar noodling and sunny harmonies.
Kicking things off at Portland's Wonder Ballroom on January 22, the tour finds the L.A. folk-rockers swerving their way up to Vancouver before heading eastward for a pair of dates in Toronto and Montreal.
Peruse the band's full itinerary down below (along with a few one-off dates), as well as the accompanying video for their debut album's title track.
