Former Lillix bassist Louise Burns is currently gearing up to release her solo debut, Mellow Drama, which is due out April 5 via Light Organ Records. We've already seen a video for her first single, "What Do You Wanna Do." Now, the Vancouver, BC-based songstress has recorded a live session for Southern Souls.
Filmed at the spacious, big-windowed Steam Whistle Brewery, the session includes two songs: "What Do You Wanna Do" and "Drop Names Not Bombs." The former is a mellower take on the single, featuring Burns singing sans microphone while backed by a guitarist, drummer and keyboardist. This same lineup then runs through melancholic album track "Drop Names Not Bombs."
