M83 To Open Up for the Killers On North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 26, 2008

When you listen to M83’s fantastic recent album Saturdays=Youth, do you often find yourself wondering how good it would sound being played through the tinny warm-up speaker system at a local hockey arena? If so, you may be in luck, as the band have announced a string of North American tour dates opening for radio friendly new wave pretty boys the Killers.

Joining the band in Denver on January 17, M83 will spend nearly a month on the road with the Killers, making a Canadian stop at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on January 23. Of course, if you want your M83 coming through in warm, full audio, the best bet would be to nab the previously mentioned vinyl reissues of the band’s albums, which came out this week via Mute.
