Calling all artists: M for Montreal returns with a hybrid virtual/live format for its 16th edition in 2021, and submissions are now open to play the annual event.
Running from November 16 to 20, the annual music conference and festival will showcase both international and local talent — around 100 acts — across 15 Montreal venues. More than 200 industry professionals are also set to participate.
Artists can partake in this year's event by sending in their submission by July 4 at midnight. M for Montreal is looking to foster careers for talent at a national and international level, so having a commercial team in place, a few shows under your belt and social platforms are considered assets.
Fill out the online application form here with the most accurate materials possible, including a short biography, music, photos and press kit. If selected, artists will need to be available from October 18 to 23 and November 16 to 20 to participate. There's also an administrative fee of $45 per application.
Since 2006, M for Montreal has striven to be a meeting place for artists and industry professionals to create generative relationships. According to the festival: "YOU. ARE. THE. (M FOR). MAGIC."
