Though he's been busy collaborating with Freddie Gibbs as of late, genre-hopping, globe-trotting production master Madlib also has a new series on the way called Rock Konducta. Now, we get a taste with the new track "Black Widow."
Inspired by vintage African rock, the project sees Madlib ditching the blunted beats for something a little more, well, rock-oriented. "Black Widow" is a slab of soulful rock that's perfect for zoning out to at the end of your work day, all freaky guitar runs, out-there organs and a driving rhythm section.
Rock Konducta Vol. 1 will be available on December 1.
