Madonna has announced a new documentary film chronicling her concert tour behind her 14th studio LP, Madame X. The film, also titled Madame X, arrives October 8 on Paramount Plus.
Directed by Ricardo Gomes, the Madame X documentary captures concert footage featuring 48 onstage performers — including Madonna's children, musicians and dancers from around the world — and the all-female Orquestra Batukadeiras.
"Sharing my vision with global audiences has been profoundly meaningful to me," Madonna said of the film in a statement. "The opportunity to bring its message and the incandescent artistry of all involved to an even wider audience comes at a time when music is so deeply needed to remind us of the sacred bond of our shared humanity."
While there's no word on whether or not the doc will cover the tour-related lawsuits and cancellations, a teaser trailer for the Madame X film can be found below.
The Madame X tour doc isn't the only film project Madonna has on the go. Last year, it was reported that she will direct her own biopic.
