MAJE

A hip-hop artist hailing from the burg of East Preston on the outskirts of Halifax, MAJE does not lack in affability and easy charm. His obvious excitement to perform is broadcast via his million-watt smile and nervous energy as he greets the audience in the Marquee. After a somewhat off-kilter first half, burdened by too many slow burn tracks and flirty verses, MAJE eventually hits his stride with a one-two-three bunch of hype hits to close things out. MAJE's production leans towards a slightly traditional '90s feel, but with crafty little surprises that slip in and out of the cracks. Delivering and duetting with himself on his backing tracks, he telegraphs a powerful joy that underscores boasts and assurances that he is just getting started in the game.
