For a band obsessed with dick jokes, blink-182 have handled their recent lineup change with surprising maturity, with ousted member Matt Skiba returning to his band Alkaline Trio with nothing but good things to say about his time in the pop-punk band. Now, blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus has shared a message of support for Alkaline Trio while also making a pornographic suggestion about the title.
Alkaline Trio released their album Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs last Friday (January 26), and Hoppus wrote in an Instagram story (viewed by Exclaim!) that he was "really happy for my friends." He added, "but Blood, Hair, and Guy Balls was right there."
Given that blink-182 released albums like Enema for the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, it's only natural that Hoppus's suggestion was a juvenile pun. Never change, Mark!
Exclaim! recently interviewed Skiba, who discussed the influence blink-182 had on his Alkaline Trio's new album. He didn't mention anything about balls, sadly.
