After detailing the type and stage of his cancer diagnosis last week, Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has another health update to share. While he's been keeping in good spirits, this news is also undeniably encouraging — "the chemo is working!"
The bassist/vocalist posted a statement via Twitter today, indicating he's received the best possible news after last week's round of chemotherapy:
Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it's the best possible news. I'm so grateful and confused and also sick from last week's chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer.

Hoppus recently revealed that he's been diagnosed with stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma — the same type of cancer his mother had previously beat — in a Q&A session on his Twitch profile. The beloved musician has been hearteningly open about his cancer journey, keeping his fans updated with regular social media posts that are both vulnerable and optimistic.
Hoppus first made his cancer battle public back in June and is now into his fourth month of chemo. His bandmates Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker have publicly voiced their support.
