Indie fret-tapper Marnie Stern has a new album on shelves and a North American tour about the launch, and in the meantime she's released a video for her song "Immortals."
The clip for this surging, shred-filled rock stomper shows Stern hanging out in her apartment with her dog, playing guitar and ripping up a feather pillow while being visited by a pair of glowing spirits. Other shots in the video show the songwriter crowd surfing, jogging on the street with a posse, and performing for a room full of rowdy bros.
According to director Allie Avital Tsypin, "I was really moved by her honesty, openness and self-deprecating wit. It felt imperative to present Marnie as a human being, and shooting in her home helped."
The Chronicles of Marnia is out now on Kill Rock Stars.
