Late last year, Mary Timony (of Wild Flag and Helium) unveiled her new project Ex Hex. They've since shared their "Hot and Cold" single, and will follow that up with their debut album.
The full-length is called Rips, and it was recorded in Timony's basement with R.E.M.'s Mitch Easter. The album's colourful art is available above.
Rips will arrive on October 7 via Merge. "Don't Wanna Lose," a fist-pumping power pop banger from the LP, can be streamed below.
In addition to the new album, the band have a fairly enormous North American tour in the works. The run of shows, which includes stops in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, can be perused below.
