"Sorry, there's some technical issues," Matt Miller muttered during an unplanned moment of silence during his improvised set. It's a somewhat amusing claim for a multidisciplinary sound explorer to make when his entire performance sounds like myriad technical issues, presented in their wildest, heightened form. Using handmade synthesizers and a cool touchscreen sonic manipulator (a Korg Kaoss Pad), Miller sent globs of frequencies and noise into the air, letting them clash and settle their disputes like resigned neighbours with no other options. The zipper glitches and piercing sound waves are still orbiting the earth somewhere. Be prepared.
