Last year, quirky Toronto, ON songwriter Maylee Todd landed on our radar with her debut LP, Choose Your Own Adventure. Now, she's filmed a video for album track "Heart Throb," which is characteristically eclectic and fun. Oh, and if you're a Japanese film buff, you'll definitely want to see this.
The soft and pretty song is accompanied by a clip that re-imagines Nobuhiko Obayashi's amazingly screwed-up 1977 cult classic, House. This means we get characters like Prof, Kung-Fu, the Aunt and Melody -- all played by Todd -- who go on haunted, acid-drenched adventures.
Seriously, check out this amazing clip below. And if you've never seen House, we highly recommend you do.
Choose Your Own Adventure is out now on Do Right Music.
