Maylee Todd Practises 'Escapology' on Sophomore Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 6, 2013

In the wake of 2010's Choose Your Own Adventure, eclectic Toronto songwriter Maylee Todd's recent excursions have included some compellingly catchy disco singles. The tracks have now paved the way for her second full-length, Escapology, due out April 2.

The self-produced collection includes the previously released singles "Baby's Got It" and "Hieroglyphics." An announcement on Todd's website notes that the disc "spans genres from funk, soul, disco-boogie and also features Maylee's now signature harp-focused lullabies."

Those who pre-order the album on vinyl, CD or digitally will get an immediate download of "Do You Know What It Is." Scroll past the tracklist to stream that funky tune (which evokes Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle"), and also check "Baby's Got It' and "Hieroglyphics" below. The album cover is above.
